Tom Allegaert

Tom has developed a career in the TMT sector over the last 10 year supporting clients both in the private and public sector.

He has worked across four continents advising CEOs and board level directors of telecom operators, investment funds and regulators.

Tom moved to Bogota three years ago to guarantee support to our clients locally and manage Fide Partners’ operations in Latin America.

Throughout his career, Tom has worked with a number of blue chip names in the telecoms and media industries, advising global and regional players across the developed as well as the emerging markets. He is now focused on working with TMT players expanding into new markets and who are looking for strategic as well as financial advice to leverage their current assets and positioning.

Tom’s areas of expertise include corporate strategy and expansion support, mergers and acquisitions, strategic portfolio and financial management as well as regulatory review and implementation.

Prior to founding Fide Partners, he was a Senior Manager at Delta Partners where we helped to set up the Bogota office for the company. Before that he was a Manager at Analysys Mason in Madrid.

Tom holds an MSc degree in Applied Economics from the University of Leuven, Belgium and a Postgraduate Master from EM Lyon, France. He is fluent in English, Dutch, Spanish and French.

Ignacio Gómez

Ignacio is one of the founding partners at Fide Partners. He spends his time between Madrid and London. Ignacio has been instrumental in Fide Partners’ rapid growth since its foundation.

In his over 20 years of experience in the TMT sector, Ignacio has carried out over 120 assignments advising industry players, regulators and investors at CxO and Board level to overcome their issues and challenges..

Having also worked extensively in MENA, APAC and the Americas, Ignacio currently oversees our European operations. He has been advising global TMT players and their shareholders particularly regarding fibre, data center, mobile infrastructure, broadcasting and hosting, cloud / SaaS. In particular, he has led the commercial and technical reviews of over 100 operations.

Before co-founding Fide Partners, Ignacio worked for seven years as a Principal for Analysys Mason and for six years at Alcatel-Bell.

Ignacio holds an MSc in Telecommunications Engineering and speaks Spanish, English, Dutch, Italian, French and German fluently.
